I apologize for not posting in a couple of months. School has been rough this semester and getting back into having a real job has been a big change. Here are some pictures of the wedding. It was so much fun. Thank you to everyone who made my day special.

On Saturday, my friends JoLynn and Jean threw me a fabulous bridal shower. It was a lot of fun! I enjoyed seeing everyone from work and having some of my family there. I received a lot of really great gifts. Here are some pictures from the party. (Thanks for the great pics Kristin.)

Some Pics of The Family

I haven't posted many pictures of my family, so I thought I would post a few. This one is of my sister. She will be 19 on September 8th! It's hard to believe my baby sister is that old now. I love her to pieces!

The next one is of Gwenny and I. Gwenny is my cousin's big girl. She is such a cutie.

I also have a picture of Jon's Dad and his wife, Diane. When we went to Virginia for Christmas we told them we wanted to have a Sushi Night and learn how to make it. We both decided to take silly pictures with our sushi.

Emily and Jon are in the next picture. Emily is Jon's step-sister! She is adorable and very smart.

Next, I have Ava on her birthday. She is Gwenny's little sister. They are coming to visit me this weekend, so I will get updated pictures.

Everyone, except my sister, lives out-of-town. I miss all of them SO much!

My Crazy Past Few Weeks

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. We are only a few weeks away before the wedding! I have been so busy having meetings with House Plantation, sending out invitations, and finishing last minute things. Overall, the wedding experience has been pretty fun. It wasn't nearly as stressful as I thought it would be. That's probably because I started planning last May and I have a great wedding coordinator. I also had a TON of help with planning from my Aunt Jeanette. It's hard to picture everything, but I hope it comes out as I planned it.

My bridal shower is this weekend! My awesome friends JoLynn and Jean are hosting it. I was so excited when they offered to throw me one. It will be so much fun to have my friends and family there. I wish a lot more of my family could come, but since they are out of town, it makes it difficult.

Now for some not so exciting news....

I was informed I will be laid off October 1st. It was a huge devastation to me and the rest of my department. This was probably the greatest job to have while going to college, but I have let my anger go. Everything happens for a reason and I am excited about doing something else. After three years, it's time for a change.

My Aunt Suzy sent me an email the other day with this quote: " Life is what happens when you make plans" - SO TRUE huh?" It definitely is true in my case. Before the lay-off I decided which degree I wanted and could take classes during the day. Now I will be back to taking night classes. I changed my degree plan to Business Administration with a major in Management. That degree has a lot of online and night classes I can take. Not to mention, I can find lots of jobs after I graduate.Thanks for everyone who has given me their support through this tough time.

All Settled

Whew! What a busy couple of weeks we have had. Jon and I are finally unpacked and I'm ready to start decorating. Hopefully we can do that this weekend. My summer class ended yesterday. I think I made an "A". I should find out next week. Tonight is my aunt's birthday so we are going to Pappadeaux's. Tomorrow Jon and I want to hit up the pool with some friends and have a bar-b-que. I will try to have pictures up this weekend since I have my camera unpacked. Have a great 4th of July weekend!

Moving...

It's official, we are moving Friday! I am so excited about it because it's brand new and really updated. It is a lot closer to Jon's work, so it will save him 30 minutes of driving each day. Jon's dad is in town this weekend. We haven't seen him since Christmas. Jon's friend, Andrew, will also be here today. Hopefully I can get some pictures and post them. I haven't posted pictures in awhile, so I think it's time! In other news, my summeer class is almost over. Yay! It's been pretty intense, but at least another class is out of the way. I can't believe it is July already. Only a few more weeks and I can send wedding invitations. Keep a look out in the mail! I hope everyone has a good weekend. I will get some pictures up next week.

Our Weekend

On Saturday morning, Jon and I were up at 4 AM. We got ready pretty quickly and headed out to Starbucks. They were supposed to be open, but no one was there. I was pretty sleepy the whole drive to San Antonio. Once we reached my cousin's house we had breakfast at Las Palapas and visited for a bit. After breakfast we went to my grandparent's house. My grandpa was supposed to have surgery on Friday, but the doctor decided it was going to be too risky. We enjoyed a nice, quiet weekend with them. On Saturday, my grandma went to play Bingo. Funny enough, I went with her. Too bad I didn't win any money though. I was supposed to get pictures of Gwenny and Ava, but I forgot my camera. I stole a few pictures from my cousin's Myspace. (Thanks Kristin!)

So today summer school starts. It's an online Medical Terminology class, but extremely busy. I have four chapters to read every week, discussions and 100-question assignments to complete for each chapter. And finally, a test every week. I have to make an "A" because it's a pre-req for physical therapy school. Wish me luck!
